Accountable to Lead ICT Infrastructure Analyst
Location: Parliament Buildings & NI constituency offices
About the RoleAs a Senior ICT Infrastructure Analyst, you’ll play a key role in supporting the smooth running of the ICT Infrastructure team. You’ll help provide a secure, stable and reliable ICT environment for Assembly Members, Party Support and Secretariat staff in Parliament Buildings, as well as for MLA constituency offices across Northern Ireland.A major part of this role focuses on server and network management, supporting critical systems and contributing to the delivery of high‑quality ICT services.
Key ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for:
1. Providing technical support and advice to customers in person, by phone and email
2. Diagnosing and resolving issues efficiently, ensuring full resolution and customer follow-up
3. Classifying and prioritising problems, documenting root causes and implementing preventative measures
4. Identifying wider technical or system issues and supporting the development of solutions
5. Patching and updating MS Windows Server 2012 or later in a Hyper‑V 2019 environment, and ensuring appropriate security measures
6. Supporting and managing services in the Microsoft Azure cloud environment
7. Supporting delivery of in‑house applications using Microsoft technologies (, DevOps pipelines,pany Portal)
8. Managing and configuring TCP/IP network equipment, including switches
9. Managing and maintaining MS Exchange 2016 (or later) on‑premise and Office 365 email systems
10. Managing and maintaining Active Directory and Microsoft cloud identity
11. Investigating system alerts and providing appropriate responses
12. Contributing to disaster recovery planning and contingency preparations
13. Assisting with the development and maintenance of Windows 10 or later device configurations
14. Supporting secure remote access and smart devices
15. Building effective relationships with senior stakeholders and providing guidance
16. Managing information and records in line with policies and statutory requirements
17. Undertaking other duties as required by the Assemblymission
Essential CriteriaApplicants must meet one of the following criteria by the closing date:(a)
18. Hold at least a HND inputing or another ICT‑related discipline
19. Have at least 1 year’s experience in an Infrastructure Support or Service Desk environment
Courses must include at least 50%puting content, with details provided in the application.OR(b)
20. Have at least 3 years’ experience in an Infrastructure Support or Service Desk environment
Experience may include time spent on work placement.Technical Skills (minimum one year’s experience required in either area)
Skill 1:
21. Managing MS Windows Server 2012 or later in a Windows Hyper‑V 2019 environment
22. Managing MS Exchange 2016 (or later) and Office 365
23. Managing the Microsoft Azure environment
Skill 2:Support and administration of a TCP/IP-based network, including at least two of the following:
24. Remote access equipment
25. Firewalls
26. Switches
27. Routers
