Customer Delivery Driver - Bradford Peel Centre Superstore
Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £13.35 an hour; this increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
It's our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you'd like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) we have opportunities for this too and would still love to hear from you.
The role includes you being available for specific windows during the week. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times, and you'll have 3 weeks’ notice of exactly when your shifts will be. We are flexible if your availability closely matches but does not exactly align with the advertised times.

As the face of Tesco on the road, you’ll deliver to customers from Lands\' End to John O\'Groats. This role involves more than driving: it’s about helping others and delivering great service with a smile. It is hands-on, physical, and full of variety. While you’ll often be on the road delivering to customers, you’ll have support from managers and colleagues back at base.

You will be responsible for
* Delivering your part of the customer shopping trip by keeping the van and trays clean and tidy
* Leaving the back yard tidy and picking up litter as needed
* Ensuring trays are washed as part of the tray wash process
* Loading the van, checking the van is roadworthy
* Discussing any changes to orders with customers, including substitutions, and arranging refunds if needed
* Taking care of products/deliveries as if they were your own
* Explaining substitutions to customers and ensuring no extra charges
* Delivering within the customer time slot
* Calling the customer if arriving early and calling the store if running 30 minutes late
You will need
* Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit
* Be warm and welcoming in interactions with customers and colleagues
* Respond quickly to changing customer needs and embrace store changes
* Be energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations
* Share ideas with your Manager and colleagues to improve the store
* A valid UK/EU/EEA Driving licence (Full or Automatic only) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points
