Permanent Financial Controller required for locally homegrown business based in Lisburn. My client is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional who is ready to take ownership of the financial function in a growing, private equity backed, business. About the Role As the Financial Controller, you will support the Finance Director and play a critical role in guiding the financial health and growth of the business. Youll be responsible for managing all financial operations, providing strategic financial insights, and supporting decision-making across the business. This is a hands-on role suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Key Responsibilities, including budgeting, forecasting, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports Monitor cash flow, banking, and financing requirements Develop financial models and provide analysis to support strategic decisions Ensure compliance with all regulatory and tax obligations Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and financial institutions Oversee and improve internal financial controls and systems Support senior management with business planning and risk management Essential Criteria Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field CPA or CA qualification Minimum 5 years PQE with experience in a similar finance or accounting role Strong knowledge of financial regulations, tax, and reporting requirements Experience using accounting software SAP Microsoft Excel (advanced) Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail Desirable Experience in a manufacturing, construction, or product-based business Familiarity with inventory and project costing systems Prior experience in a leadership or management capacity Whats in It for You?
