Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a deep understanding of sustainable technologies to join our multidisciplinary engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong capabilities in mechanical system design, thermal systems, and integration with chemical processes, and be passionate about advancing the clean energy transition.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and develop mechanical systems and components for sustainable fuel reactors
* Assemble and fabricate components according to technical requirements and work instructions.
* Collaborate with chemical and process engineers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with process flows.
* Lead or support thermal and stress analysis of fuel processing equipment.
* Specify and select materials suitable for high-temperature, high-pressure, and corrosive fuel environments.
* Prepare detailed engineering drawings, 3D models, and P&IDs using industry-standard CAD tools.
* Participate in equipment sizing, performance evaluation, and prototype testing.
* Support scale-up from lab to pilot and commercial-scale systems.
* Ensure designs comply with relevant codes and standards
* Work with suppliers, fabricators, and installation teams to bring designs to reality.
Requirements:
Essential:
* 8+ years’ experience in mechanical design, ideally in fuels, energy, or chemical processing sectors.
* Strong understanding of renewable/sustainable fuel technologies (SAF, biofuels, syngas, etc.).
* Proficient in CAD software and simulation tools
* Familiarity with pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping systems, and rotating equipment.
* Experience working in a cross-functional team environment.
* Strong analytical and communication skills.
Desirable:
* Experience in the design of reactors or pilot plant systems.
* Knowledge of lifecycle emissions analysis and sustainability reporting.
* Experience with project documentation and certification
