About The Role
As a Deputy Superintendent Registrar, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality statutory services, while helping to shape how modern, customer-focused registration services evolve in the largest and busiest district in the country.
Responsibilities
* Deliver statutory registration functions across births, deaths, marriages, civil partnerships and citizenship ceremonies.
* Act as an officiant, ensuring all legal preliminaries are met and as a celebrant at non-binding ceremonies.
* Lead and supervise teams across ceremonies and certificate services.
* Provide expert advice on complex and sensitive registration matters.
* Oversee financial controls, statutory records, and secure documentation processes.
* Support service improvement and digital transformation programmes.
Qualifications
* Substantial experience within a registration district and strong legislative knowledge.
* Experience supervising staff and delivering training.
* Proven ability to work in high-pressure, customer-facing environments.
* Excellent communication, organising and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work accurately, prioritise effectively and lead by example.
