Job Description
Assembly Technicians are part of a team that ensures the required quality standard across our SPTS single‑wafer products, meeting customers’ requirements and expectations. You will be working in a high‑performing manufacturing team to assemble sophisticated processing equipment.
This is a permanent role that requires shift work: Monday to Friday 6 am–2 pm (week 1) and Monday to Friday 2 pm–10 pm (week 2), with possible night‑shift requirement.
Responsibilities
* Production builds of electrical and electromechanical systems.
* Provide high‑quality assembly expertise and knowledge of manufacturing methods.
* Assemble a wide variety of electro‑mechanical sub‑assemblies.
* Carry out vacuum leak checking of finished product to the highest standard.
* Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure quality assurance and carry out associated checks with meticulous record keeping.
* Work with quality and production engineering teams to ensure continuous improvement of workplace.
* Maintain safety and standard operating procedures, ensuring safe working practices always, and adhere to department processes, rules, and regulations.
Qualifications
* Proven mechanical / manufacturing experience.
* Flexible work ethic.
* Excellent time management and ability to commit to timescales and targets.
* Initiative and strong communication skills – enjoy establishing and maintaining good working relationships with colleagues in your own and wider team.
* Strong attention to detail to maintain high production standards and efficiency.
* Good analytical skills with a logical approach to problem solving.
* Confident in reading technical mechanical and electrical diagrams.
