Are you a newly qualified (or soon to be) Speech and Language Therapist with an interest in working with adults in the community?
We are looking for an enthusiastic Speech and Language Therapist to join our friendly team of SLTs who work across east and west Kent.
You Will
* Hold a general adult community neurological caseload within the West Kent locality, including dysphagia
* See patients for assessment and therapy in care homes, outpatient clinics and their own homes
* Really make a difference to people’s communication, eating and drinking and their lives
* Have a valid driving license and access to a car as these are essential requirements for this role
We will support you in the role and provide regular management and clinical supervision as well as development of your clinical skills and knowledge. We are a CQC rated OUTSTANDING Trust and team.
The Kent Community Health Adult Speech & Language Therapy service is friendly and welcoming. We are committed to continually developing our staff and services.
Our service consists of about 25 therapists and assistant practitioners. We really value our staff and they in turn value the support and opportunities that we provide.
We offer excellent clinical supervision (individual and group) and hold regular in-service training days.
* To provide assessment, therapy, advice and support to a general community caseload of neurological and medical patients, including dysphagia work and visits to patient’s homes, care homes and community hospitals
* The post holder will work in the West Kent Team
* The post will include domiciliary visits and out-patient work
