We are seeking a skilled and proactive Site Supervisor to lead the on-site delivery of our construction and fit-out projects. This role blends hands-on trade experience with day-to-day team supervision, making it ideal for a highly competent, multi-trade professional who takes pride in quality workmanship and team leadership. As the on-site lead, you’ll be responsible for coordinating tradespeople and subcontractors, ensuring that work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. You will act as the primary point of contact on-site, reporting directly to the Project Manager and supporting digital quality assurance and compliance processes. Key Responsibilities Site Supervision & Team Coordination Lead and oversee daily activities of tradespeople and subcontractors. Deliver clear daily and weekly Task Briefings and ensure team understanding. Represent the company in daily production meetings with clients and subcontractors. Allocate tasks, manage workloads, and escalate performance/resource issues where necessary. Participate in regular progress meetings and report updates to the Project Manager. Uphold Sycon’s standards of professionalism, conduct, and performance on-site. Identify and resolve on-site issues in collaboration with the wider site management team. Hands-On Trade Work Carry out a range of practical trade-based tasks, particularly in joinery and internal finishes. Set the standard for quality, site behaviour, and productivity through example. Contribute to the delivery of work packages and help resolve snagging issues. Quality Assurance Complete Quality Reports, including photographic evidence and verification checks. Monitor site workmanship to ensure compliance with specifications and client expectations. Support the sign-off process with clear reporting and collaboration. Lead Toolbox Talks and promote a culture of continuous improvement. Health & Safety Compliance Enforce strict adherence to Health & Safety protocols, RAMS, and site-specific requirements. Promote a safe, clean, and organised working environment. Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings as required. Essential Skills & Experience Time-served tradesperson, ideally in joinery, with multi-trade capabilities. Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or Foreperson. Comfortable using digital tools (e.g. Field View – training provided). Sound knowledge of site Health & Safety standards. Ability to juggle hands-on tasks and supervisory responsibilities. Strong communicator and effective team leader. Well-organised and solutions-focused, even under pressure. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and reporting systems. Qualifications SMSTS or SSSTS (CITB-accredited) CSCS card (Skilled Worker or Supervisor level) Full UK Driving Licence FIRAS understanding (Fire Door Installation) – desirable Desirable Experience First Aid at Work certification.
