Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a degree-qualified graduate to join our planning service. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the local area, planning & development and the environment to work in our Development Management team. You will have a vital role in the team, dealing with a range of householder, lawful development certificate, trees, advertisement, prior approval, full planning and listed building applications, along with dealing with general enquiries and planning appeals. This will provide you with the experience to launch your town planning career. The Council will also support you through further studies to develop your knowledge and help obtain your professional qualifications.
Responsibilities

* Deal with general enquiries and planning appeals.
* Engage with the public and work with a range of professional experts.

Requirements
* Degree qualified or already working as a planning officer, either part way through or with completed professional qualifications.
* The successful candidate will be a team player, creative and enthusiastic about making a positive difference for the residents of North Hertfordshire.
* You must be able to drive and have your own vehicle.
