Head of Costume & Wigs We are recruiting for a highly experienced costume supervisor or head of costume-making to lead our costume department within the Production directorate at
Leeds Playhouse. The role is full‑time, permanent, 40 hours per week, with evening, weekend and some public holiday work.
Responsibilities
Lead the Costume department, managing staff and ensuring effective delivery of the artistic vision.
Collaborate with technical, artistic and Playhouse Connect teams to coordinate costume production.
Maintain high standards under tight deadlines and in pressure situations.
Oversee budgeting, procurement, and maintenance of costume and wig assets.
Provide guidance and training for costume crew and volunteer teams.
Qualifications
Extensive experience as a costume supervisor or head of a costume department in theatre, film or TV.
Strong leadership and organisational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and remain calm under pressure.
Experience in managing workload across multiple productions.
