About the Role & About you
We’re looking for a commercially minded digital leader who can set strategy and support specialist execution. You’ll combine deep hands‑on knowledge of SEO, paid search, and social with strong stakeholder management, data‑driven decision making, and a passion for continuous improvement.
In this leadership role, you’ll define the roadmap, lead agency relationships, guide the team through high‑support, high‑challenge coaching, and partner across marketing, retail and operations to accelerate growth online and in‑store.
Your Responsibilities
Own the Group Digital Strategy
Build and deliver an annual, KPI‑led plan across SEO, paid search, social, email/WhatsApp, content, display, video, affiliate and direct marketing.
Present strategy and results to the Marketing Leadership Team and Commercial Board.
Improve ROI and Performance
Implement rigorous measurement using Google Analytics and attribution models to optimise ROAS, CAC and CLV.
Run monthly performance reviews and reallocate spend to high‑performing activity.
Lead Agency and Supplier Procurement
Run RFPs, negotiate contracts, onboard partners and conduct quarterly commercial reviews across SEO, paid media, social, creative, CDP and analytics tools.
Maintain a preferred supplier list and build in‑house capability where it adds value.
Grow Omnichannel Traffic
Drive digital campaigns that increase website revenue and footfall to Protyre centres and independent garages through geo‑targeting, local search and store‑focused activations.
Optimise Websites and Conversion
Own the performance roadmap for Protyre.co.uk, TyreClick and local sites, improving UX, speed, accessibility and conversion in partnership with e‑commerce and Digital Ops.
Adopt Emerging Technologies
Champion AI‑driven personalisation, predictive analytics and chatbots; run pilots and scale what works.
Ensure Compliance and Governance
Lead and Develop the Team
Build a high‑support, high‑challenge culture with clear goals, feedback and development.
What We’re Looking For From You
Senior leadership experience owning multi‑channel digital strategy and P&L‑impacting results.
Deep, hands‑on expertise across SEO, paid search, social platforms, web performance and attribution.
Proven success improving ROI and scaling high‑performing campaigns and journeys.
Strong commercial judgement in agency selection, negotiation and ongoing performance management.
Data fluency with GA and attribution, plus comfort with experimentation and pilots.
Experience coaching specialist teams and fostering continuous learning and innovation.
Knowledge of CDPs, personalisation and marketing compliance best practices.

Micheldever Tyre Services (MTS) was founded in 1972 as a part‑time venture providing car servicing and tyres. Today, Micheldever Group is the fastest growing wholesaler, distributor and retailer of tyres in the UK, selling six million tyres nationwide (20 % of the total UK market) and employing approximately 2 100 employees company‑wide. To support this business, we have built a wholesale distribution network of 14 sites around the UK supplying over 6 000 retailers and our own retail chain Protyre, which is consistently growing. This is achieved by skilled, focused and determined teams across one central distribution and 13 warehouse operations nationwide.
