Location: Hybrid. Working from Head Office in Elland, with a minimum in-office presence 3 days per week. Travel to our two airbases in West and North Yorkshire will also be required.

With a fleet of three state-of-the-art helicopters, the launch of our bespoke northern air support unit, and a bold ambition to deliver the highest standard of doctor-led HEMS, we are evolving from a transport service into a clinically-led, patient-focused organisation.
This role offers the chance to lead that evolution, embedding YAA at the forefront of critical care delivery across the region and ensuring we remain a service Yorkshire can be proud of.
You’ll lead a diverse and expert team across eight departments including aviation, medical, fundraising, and communications, and you will work closely with a committed Board of Trustees as they return to a governance-focused role. You’ll be the face of YAA, guiding our strategic direction, strengthening our partnerships, and ensuring long-term sustainability.

What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for a leader who is:
* Experienced: A former CEO or senior executive with a strong track record in transformation, income generation, and risk management.
* Strategic: Skilled in setting vision, leading change, and managing complex operations.
* Collaborative: Able to lead and inspire a senior team, build trusted relationships, and work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
* Credible:A confident communicator and ambassador, ideally with experience working with the NHS or public sector.
* Connected: Based in or willing to relocate to Yorkshire, with a genuine connection to the region.
