Staffline are recruiting on behalf of WHSCT for a Band 5 Estates Auto Cad Technician
Job description
1. Location: Estates Department, PSI
2. Hours: p/week, Mon-Friday
3. Pay: Pay P/annum £29,970 band 5 pay scale no 1. £15,33 p/hr.
The post holder will have a responsibility for the management of Estates Drawing Record and Operational maintenance database information.
As an Estates Officer the post holder will manage a cost effective and efficient service that supports the corporate aims of the Trust to meet its aim of quality of service commensurate with a modern Health Service.
To provide a CAD support facility to the in-house Estates Department. To develop and maintain the Estates record drawings and associated databases. Prepare CAD details and drawings in support of project works to be undertaken by the Estates Projects and Maintenance teams. The candidate is expected to take a proactive role in managing and updating the drawing archive and survey all database information
Physical Skills
4. Undertake frequent long periods of sitting or standing at a desk/work station inputting/designing/drawing via a keyboard or producing technical reports.
5. Occasional need to access and inspect under floor ducts, roof spaces, etc. using ladders and access equipment involving manual handling of weights up to 15kgs.

9. Condition surveys etc
Produce detailed drawings using AutoCad Software which will regularly require prolonged concentration.
10. Produce condition surveys and undertake assessment reports on specific building issues as and when required.
11. Use surveying equipment, in accordance with the manufacturers' instructions and in compliance with Trust policies, procedures, and industry best practice.
12. Advanced keyboard and IT skills in the use of 'AutoCad'.
13. The nature of the job will require the post holder to be generally physically fit.
14. To be able to work in confined spaces, at heights, etc all in accordance with safe systems of work and risk assessments.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
A degree in a relevant Building or Engineering related subject plus 1 years' experience and having :
A detailed knowledge and experience of AutoCAD systemsA sound knowledge of building design and mechanical and Electrical working knowledge of the Building Regulations.
OR
Higher National Certificate / Diploma in:
A relevant Building or Engineering related discipline.
and
3 years post apprenticeship experience and having :
15. A detailed knowledge and experience of AutoCAD systems
16. A sound knowledge of building design and mechanical and Electrical Services.
17. A working knowledge of the Building Regulations
OR
Time served Trades Person, with an AutoCAD qualification
and
5 years post apprenticeship experience in a Health Care maintenance environment and having
18. A detailed knowledge and experience of AutoCAD systems
19. A sound knowledge of building design and mechanical and Electrical Services.
20. A working knowledge of the Building Regulations

Experience
Estates information technology systems.
Working in a Health Care Environment or similar environment.
Preparing maintenance estimates and engineering reports
Computer literate in other systems.
DHSS&PS or Health & Safety Training
