This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced, specialist business where payroll accuracy, compliance, and customer service are at the heart of everything they do.If you're looking for a role that offers real variety, career progression, and the chance to work closely with contractors, agencies, and internal stakeholders, this could be the perfect next step.The Role As Senior Payroll Advisor, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate and compliant payroll services across a diverse contractor portfolio.Your responsibilities will include:Processing weekly and monthly payroll for umbrella, CIS, and contractor workersCalculating PAYE, National Insurance, pensions, holiday pay, and statutory deductionsValidating timesheets, invoices, and payment instructionsActing as a senior point of contact for contractor payroll queriesInvestigating and resolving complex payroll discrepanciesEnsuring full compliance with HMRC, FCSA, SafeRec, AWR, and pension regulationsSupporting and mentoring junior payroll team membersAssisting with process improvements and system enhancementsWorking closely with internal teams, agencies, and contractorsThis is a highly visible, client-facing role within a busy contractor payroll environment.About You To be successful, you'll ideally have:Proven experience within umbrella, CIS, or contractor payrollStrong knowledge of PAYE, National Insurance, pensions, and holiday accrualA solid understanding of HMRC legislation and payroll complianceExperience working in a high-volume payroll environmentExcellent problem-solving and communication skillsA proactive, detail-focused approachPrevious experience supporting or mentoring colleaguesCandidates from umbrella companies, contractor payroll providers, recruitment payroll, or CIS payroll environments are particularly encouraged to apply.What's On Offer Competitive basic salaryExcellent benefits packageClear progression opportunitiesSupportive and collaborative team environmentExposure to a specialist and growing sectorOngoing professional developmentWhy Apply?
