Are you detail-oriented, organized, and ready to be a crucial part of a Chartered Accountancy Practice? We're seeking a dedicated Payroll Administrator to join our team and support our payroll operations.
Responsibilities
The role involves assisting the Payroll Manager in delivering efficient payroll and pension services, ensuring compliance with regulations, and working alongside a small team of payroll professionals.
1. Processing payrolls from start to finish in accordance with current legislation, policies, processes, and deadlines, ensuring all transactions are approved by authorized personnel.
2. Handling leavers, calculating holiday payments, PILON, and other termination payments.
3. Calculating absences, including sickness, leave, and statutory payments.
4. Processing payments and deductions such as auto-enrolment, court orders, and contractual payments, while meeting audit and statutory requirements.
5. Updating employee personal details, such as bank and address information.
6. Processing statutory changes, P45, P46, P6, P9 forms, student loan notices, and court orders.
7. Maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding sensitive files.
8. Making ad-hoc payroll payments and supporting the team with inquiries.
9. Keeping up-to-date with payroll legislation and internal policies.
10. Meeting payroll deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
11. Ensuring timely processing and payment of payroll, pensions, PAYE, and NI contributions.
12. Keeping employee files, policies, and procedures current and accurate.
13. Supporting payroll projects and initiatives.
14. Monitoring the payroll inbox and responding to queries promptly.
15. Performing additional tasks related to payroll to meet deadlines.
Experience
* Minimum of 1 year experience with end-to-end payroll processing.
