Job Title: Diesel Mechanic
Location: Castlebar, Co.Mayo

Salary: €39,000 - €41,000 per annum
Annual Leave: 20 days
About the Role
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our clients maintenance team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in diesel engines, particularly in bus and rail applications. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a range of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, particularly those used in buses and rail systems
Perform routine maintenance and scheduled servicing on diesel vehicles
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults
Maintain service records and ensure all work meets health and safety standards
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and effective repair solutions
Use diagnostic tools and equipment effectivelyRequirements
Proven experience working with diesel engines, preferably in both bus and rail contexts
Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel systems and components
Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
Skilled in the use of diagnostic equipment
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong commitment to health, safety, and quality standardsKSGalway
