The Role
We are seeking a motivated and skilled PE Teacher to deliver engaging Physical Education lessons across KS3 and KS4, helping students develop teamwork, resilience, and a positive approach to physical wellbeing.
Alongside PE teaching responsibilities, the successful candidate will also provide Health and Social Care cover, supporting students’ understanding of health, wellbeing, and care-related topics.
This is a full-time role starting after Easter and running until the end of the academic year, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a supportive school environment.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons across KS3 and KS4
Provide Health & Social Care cover lessons as required
Promote healthy lifestyles, participation, and sportsmanship
Support student progress through effective assessment and guidance
Assist with extracurricular sports activities where possible
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Work collaboratively with colleagues and follow whole-school policies
What We’re Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
Experience teaching PE at secondary level
Ability or willingness to cover Health & Social Care lessons
Strong classroom management and communication skills
A proactive, positive, and adaptable approach
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
