The role
As an Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Engineer, you’ll play a vital role within our Cavendish Nuclear business. Our work spans decommissioning nuclear facilities, supporting the Continuous at Sea Deterrent, and aiding the operation and construction of nuclear power plants. Our goal is to clean up the nuclear legacy and support a future where nuclear energy contributes to energy security, safety, and net zero commitments.
Your daily responsibilities will include applying engineering knowledge to deliver technical solutions aligned with project requirements.
* Manage customer relationships through effective communication on design issues and procurement specifications.
* Ensure procedures, codes, and standards are correctly applied in engineering activities.
* Serve as a technical interface with stakeholders at detailed levels.
* Conduct technical investigations and analyses for problem-solving and design improvements.
* Contribute to process improvements to enhance quality, cycle time, and asset utilization.
* Produce technical documentation, including calculations, reports, specifications, and method statements.
This is a full-time role, 37 hours per week, with flexible and hybrid working options.
Essential experience of the EC&I Engineer
* Experience working collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams across various project types.
* Nuclear experience is not mandatory.
* Proven experience in electrical engineering tasks.
* Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across disciplines.
Qualifications of the EC&I Engineer
* An engineering degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, with demonstrable experience.
