Financial Accountant – City of London

Our client, an industry leading global investor, who provide a purpose-driven, dynamic and sustainable pension plans to over half a million members; is looking for a Financial Accountant to be responsible for the full cycle accounting for a number of corporate and property owning legal entities.
The Financial Accountant will be based in London and will be responsible for the month end close process, preparing budgets and forecasts for operating and corporate entities, financial statements, liaising with partners and auditors as well as managing cash balances and payment processing.

The successful candidate will have:
* University degree BSc/BA or equivalent,
* Financial accounting experience with strong accounting skills with a focus on bookkeeping
* AAT or equivalent qualification
* Real estate or asset management industry experience preferred but not required
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required, and exposure to JD Edwards and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) or Yardi preferred but not required
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Self-motivated and adaptable to a changing and fast paced corporate environment managing multiple competing deadlines
* Excellent communication / interpersonal skills (both written and verbal) as job can potentially require frequent communication with other departments and multiple external parties
* Able to embrace steep learning curve with an open attitude towards learning
