An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Social Worker to join the Adult Learning Disability Team within Cardiff Adult Services. This is a part-time Grade 8 position. This is an excellent time to join, as the service has increased capacity for staff development and service enhancement.
The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of the Social Services and Wellbeing Act, skills in conducting strength-based/outcome-focused assessments, court work, and managing a complex caseload effectively. The role also involves assessing risks and supporting individuals to manage these risks positively.
Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and autism is essential. Our Learning Disability teams are part of the Adults, Housing & Communities directorate at Cardiff Council. We recognize social workers as skilled professionals making a significant difference in people's lives. Our teams cover the East and West of Cardiff, working alongside specialist health teams to provide multidisciplinary support, focusing on inclusion and helping individuals achieve their outcomes.
