Job Description: SME Team Manager Location: Victory House, Brighton Permanent Contract Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 Full time: 35 Hours per week We consider all types of flexibility, including locations, hours and working patterns. As an SME Team Manager, you will lead and develop the PPA team to drive growth and retention across Bupa Global’s SME broker portfolio, acting as a role model for exceptional broker engagement, customer empathy, and Bupa’s proposition and values. How you’ll help us make health happen: Develop and lead the team in enhancing PPA broker relationships, creating opportunities to grow and retain the portfolio. To meet and exceed team and individual new business and retention targets, within compliance and relevant legislation. Lead larger or more complex sales negotiations with brokers and/or supporting the team with their negotiations. Apply a commercial lens to the PPA arrangements, ensuring the continuously drive profitable growth. Collaborate with colleagues in other business areas who also work with our PPA brokers to support and drive joint commercial goals. Handle escalated queries and problems effectively, ensuring strong outcomes for Bupa, broker and customer. Oversee and manage team’s sales performance via data and insights, including regular use and updating of Salesforce. Conduct regular 1:1’s for team members to support the team to continually build their knowledge, skills and support them to provide an outstanding sales experience to our customers/brokers. Provide regular and ad-hoc feedback and lead on resolving performance related issues where required. Managing the talent and succession plans to ensure resources are at a level and skill to deliver the customer requirements Be a subject matter expert on our product suite, leverage this to educate and guide the team and brokers on Bupa Global products. Ensure familiarity and compliance with all regulatory requirements that fall within the remit of this role. Consistently drive good and fair customer outcomes. Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role: A Sales manager with knowledge of the global health insurance market, or relevant transferable skills. Experience of intermediary distribution. Ability to conduct B2B negotiations at a more senior level. A track record of achieving team targets and KPI’s. Can demonstrate a high level of knowledge of Bupa Global’s products and Sales systems and procedures. Excellent Sales skills, interpersonal and communication skills are required with emphasis on the ability to develop people to achieve successful outcomes. Strong work ethic, ability to multitask and work under pressure but maintain high quality of work. Strong team player and ability to collaborate across a wider range of internal and external stakeholders, including stakeholders at different levels of seniority. Can demonstrate role-model skills and behaviours, providing excellent customer service, quality and performance against department KPI’s.
