A well-respected claims and disputes consultancy based in Sheffield, Yorkshire, is looking to hire an Associate Director - Commercial & Quantum.
The successful candidate will likely be an existing Associate Director or Quantum and Claims Senior Consultant who has worked for a consultancy providing dispute resolution services.

This role offers exposure to a wide variety of assignments across multiple sectors, working with well-known clients including tier-one main contractors, subcontractors, and client organizations.
Responsibilities and Duties
As an Associate Director, you will report directly to the Managing Director and will manage your own client assignments related to claims on live projects.
Your services will include:
* Examining and advising on construction contracts.
* Helping clients or internal colleagues prevent conflicts through expert, commercially focused counsel.
* Assisting in report writing.
* Supporting clients with cost-related matters.
* Providing coaching and training on commercial, contractual, and temporal issues.
* Report writing and representing clients in tribunals.
* Collaborating with solicitors on construction-related disputes.
* Business Development activities.
Desired Skills and Experience
* Approximately 10 years post-graduate experience, ideally in Quantity Surveying.
* Experience in providing professional construction commercial and contractual advice.
* Strong knowledge of Quantity Surveying duties, including managing variations and changes.
* Experience or involvement in formal disputes (adjudication, arbitration, litigation) is advantageous.
* Well-presented, articulate, and capable of thriving in a client-facing role.
* Good knowledge of standard contracts such as NEC and JCT.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
* Degree qualification or equivalent is desired.
* Membership in a professional body like RICS or a Masters in Construction Law is desirable; candidates working towards these may also be considered.
