JOB – Business Development Manager
LOCATION – Remote, involving travel to meet UK-based customers and occasionally visit the office in Berkshire
TERM- Permanent
SALARY - £40,000-£50,000 per annum
My client designs and manufactures products and systems within the Renewable Energy sector. They are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.
The company is based in Berkshire, but this role will be remote (requirement to be in the office around once a month), and will involve travel to meet UK-based customers as required.
The Business Development Manager will ideally have the following attributes:
* Experience working in Business Development for B2B sales, ideally selling to integrators
* Able to find customers and win new business, whilst managing accounts and maintaining customers
* A passion for sales and an entrepreneurial mindset
* Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage a small team
* Interested in sustainability and passionate about working in the renewable energy sector
* Excellent people skills and the ability to motivate others
* Enthusiasm for the position
* Brilliant communication skills and organisational skills
* Be able to travel on occasion as required
The Business Development Manager role will involve:
* Working in a team to manage sales and business development activities within the company
* Selling products to other businesses and integrators
* Identifying and targeting new potential customers and winning business
* Liaising with clients and investors to create and build relationships, then managing accounts
* Maintaining the existing customer base and managing accounts
* Leading a small team and having 1 direct report
* Travel across the UK to meet customers and attend trade shows, events and conferences as required
* Researching and developing sales opportunities
* Working in alignment with commercial, technical, research and marketing strategies
* Achieving revenue growth targets
* Day-to-day management and team engagement
* Driving for progression and growth of the business
