Job Description:
The Role
We are looking for an Event Manager who loves the world of live events to join our International Marketing team for a 12-month maternity cover. This role is for someone who enjoys every aspect of event management - from the initial strategy and planning to the fast-paced energy of onsite execution.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role for an experienced events professional who thrives on variety and responsibility. As the lead for event operations within our insurance solutions division, you will manage a diverse portfolio of activities, ranging from our premier flagship conference to regional exhibitions and field marketing events.
You will be working as part of a collaborative, down-to-earth team that values integrity, initiative, and a good sense of humour. We're looking for someone who takes pride in delivering seamless experiences and has a natural eye for the details that make an event exceptional.
Key Responsibilities:
Flagship Conference Support: Lead critical workstreams including venue relationships, catering, VIP dinner curation, exhibitor management, and guest speaker relations.
End-to-End Exhibition Management: Full ownership of the project lifecycle for events where Cotality exhibits - from sponsorship booking and invoicing to onsite execution.
Field Marketing Support: Collaborate with content and digital marketers to ensure event branding and handouts generate high-quality leads.
Logistics & Travel: Occasional travel to our Fareham office for merchandise management and frequent travel to UK event venues for onsite support.
Budget & Reporting: Maintain oversight of the event budget and monitor performance to ensure effectiveness.
Job Qualifications:
Experience: 3+ years of event management (B2B preferred) with a track record of delivering professional conferences.
Production Expertise: Proven experience in complex logistics, large-scale catering, and coordinating VIP hospitality.
Stakeholder Management: Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, particularly when managing international subject matter experts and VIP guests.
Operational Excellence: Strong organisational and project coordination skills with a rigorous attention to detail - ensuring the "special details" are never missed.
Adaptability: A self-starter comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to prioritise multiple complex workstreams independently.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills, with a focus on problem-solving and a customer-service mindset.
Mobility: Willingness and ability to travel as required to support onsite event execution.
