About the Role
AECOM’s Systems Engineering team in Warrington provides multidisciplinary consultancy to the nuclear industry, Ministry of Defence (MoD) and other security‑classified clients. The team supports new‑build, decommissioning, MoD facilities, ITER and the DIO sectors.
What You’ll Do
* Support the Systems Engineering discipline lead in Requirements Management, Configuration Management, Interface Management and IVVQ.
* Interface with client technical and non‑technical teams, both remotely and on‑site.
* Author and review technical documentation and processes.
* Apply Systems Engineering best practices to grow the team’s capability.
* Manage end‑to‑end lifecycle traceability and reporting to achieve certification and delivery.
You'll work independently and collaboratively, liaising with engineers across disciplines to ensure a unified design.

Qualifications
* Experience and full understanding of Systems Engineering, the V‑model and associated processes/lifecycles.
* Degree qualified in STEM or a similar subject, or demonstrable engineering experience with appropriate qualifications.
* Chartered Engineer, or on the path to Chartered status with an appropriate institute.
* Currently SC cleared or able to meet SC requirements.
* Experience in highly regulated industries such as Defence, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical, Nuclear.
* Experience writing and formally reviewing high‑quality technical documentation.
* Experience decomposing, authoring and managing System‑Level Requirements.
* Knowledge of Systems Engineering practices, methodologies, processes, techniques, and technology trends (e.g. SEBoK, INCOSE, NASA SE, DOORS).
