Visitor Experience Coordinator Crown Community Building
Background
The Crown Community Building in Bridlington is a community centre, managed by HEY Smile Foundation.
It hosts several charitable and community focused organisations, including The Hinge, Carers Plus and Bridlington Primary Care Network, who run services from there throughout the week.
There is a large downstairs space that is regularly booked out for events, and hotdesking and meeting rooms are on the first and ground floor.
Description
An exciting opportunity to join a truly remarkable local project.
We are looking for a keen and friendly volunteer Visitor Experience Coordinator who will be the face of the Crown Community reception. You will be the first point of contact, and will help welcome people into the building and make their experience at the Crown Community a memorable one.
If you are a people person, with a friendly attitude and happy to chat and assist people we’d love to hear from you.
You will be asked to be the host in the main foyer area.
Other tasks may include, creating promotional material for the building and services and distributing these. It is important that you get to know the organisations who are based in the building, as you may need to direct guests to them and give out information about their services and activities.
There may be a need to use walkie talkies or telephone to communicate with others in the building.
We welcome your own ideas on how you can contribute to the Crown Community.
Refreshments will be provided, and toilets are on the ground floor. A free car park is available on site.
We will give you
• An induction before you start, including safeguarding awareness
• Full tour of the building and introductions to all on-site staff members and volunteers
• The opportunity to sit in our monthly building operations meetings
• Ongoing support and supervision
• A reference after 6 weeks volunteering with us
We will require
• A character reference and DBS check
• An informal chat or interview
This is a great opportunity for an individual or maybe a couple who work well together (may be partners, friends, relatives etc).
If you think you could be a welcoming face in a local community, we can’t wait to meet you!
