We are working alongside a dynamic and inspiring secondary school in West Cornwall. The school is offering an exciting opportunity to make a real difference. You will have a vital and proactive role in supporting the educational, social, emotional, communication, and physical development of learners with Special Educational Needs. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join the team.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with passionate teachers. You'll help to adapt and bring the curriculum to life, breaking down barriers and unlocking each learner's potential. You will actively participate in organizing class activities, lead engaging small group and 1:1 sessions, and help create a vibrant learning environment where every learner can thrive, feel valued, and achieve beyond expectations.
The appropriate qualifications are required. Relevant experience in a similar role is desirable, and transferable skills from working in care or supporting others are also valued. The right candidate will have a desire to assist in the learning and educational development of children. An understanding of and commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of children are vital.
