Duration: 16 weeks (possible extension)
Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday–Friday + occasional overtime)
Salary: PAYE: £14.13+ per hour | Umbrella: £17.95 per hour

Monmouthshire County Council needs an experienced Grounds Operative (Tree Surgery) to join the Waste & Street Services team at Raglan Depot.
Your Main Duties
1. Tree climbing, sectional felling, pruning, crown reduction & lifting
2. Aerial rescue
3. Safe operation of chainsaws, chippers, MEWPs and all associated arboricultural kit
4. Work to the Council’s Tree Policy and current industry best practice
5. Site set-up, traffic management and public interaction when required
Essential Qualifications & Tickets (must be in date and evidenced)
6. CS30/CS31 (Maintenance & Cross-cutting + Felling Small Trees)
7. CS38 (Tree Climbing & Aerial Rescue)
8. CS39 (Aerial Cutting with Chainsaw)
9. Chipper ticket
10. Full UK driving licence (ideally with trailer entitlement)
