HV Trainee Fluid Technician
Location: UK-wide with travel across Ireland and occasional international assignments
NKT is a vital part of the green energy transformation; working on large interconnectors, onshore cable systems and substations. NKT is continuing a major expansion of its UK operations.
Kickstart your career in high voltage engineering with NKT. We’re looking for a hands-on, motivated trainee to support the maintenance and testing of HV fluid systems, including oil-filled cables.
What You’ll Do
1. Assist with installation, sampling, testing, and leak detection.
2. Operate specialist equipment and follow safety protocols.
3. Train to drive essential vehicles and gain industry qualifications.
4. Maintain records and support continuous improvement.
5. Travel across the UK, Ireland, and occasionally abroad.

As a pre-requisite for application, candidates must have the right to work in the UK, and hold a current and valid passport. Existing NKT product experience would be desirable but not necessary. Ability to travel UK wide will be essential with occasional overseas deployments for both training and short term project work.
