Job Summary
We’re looking for an ITU Senior Staff Nurse to join our 28 Bedded ITU Unit at London Bridge Hospital, currently rated “Outstanding” by the CQC. Our 24‑hour Critical Care Unit provides dedicated, continuous, specialised care to critically ill patients with a variety of medical or surgical conditions. The unit is staffed by a multidisciplinary team of Consultant Intensivists, Critical Care Resident Medical Officers and Critical Care Nurses.

Employment type: Permanent, Full time 37.5hrs
Salary: Competitive + 9% shift enhancement
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Staff Nurse on our ITU unit you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the department. We’ll look to you as an expert in your field to support and mentor junior nurses, using your in‑depth clinical knowledge to guide and support them while stepping up to lead the unit in the absence of the ITU Sister/Charge Nurse. Your daily work will involve direct patient care, participation in audits and quality improvement projects, and continual efforts to improve the care we provide.
What You’ll Bring
* Registered General Nurse with NMC pin.
* Cardiac or General ITU – specific skills and experience.
* Extensive experience working within Critical Care.
* Critical Care Course (60 Credits).
