Working with SEN students is a rewarding career in which you will teach, guide and support students who may find everyday tasks challenging. The successful applicant will be required to teach children with complex needs, leading the class and planning their days to effectively engage the children with their work and learning.

The role will include:
15. To plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons
16. To assist children in class to make sure they are on track
17. To liaise with support staff to ensure smooth running of class
18. To support the general well being of the students
19. To monitor and evaluate learners learning
20. To enable learners to access the curriculum through a variety of techniques
21. To fully utilise Teaching Assistant with the classroom to support aspects of teaching and behaviour management
Requirements:
22. Qualified teacher status or equivalent is essential
23. Experience with KS3,4,5 curriculum is desired but not essential
24. Experience teaching learners with various learning difficulties is essential
25. A resilient and empathetic approach to working
26. Have an understanding of children with special needs
27. Be flexible in approach to education
28. Experience teaching in an SEN setting is ideal but not essential
