Nursery Room Leader at Princecroft Primary School
Location: Princecroft Lane, Warminster, Wiltshire, BA12 8NT
Contract Type: Permanent
Contract Term: Part-Time
Working hours: 38.75 hours per week (39 weeks per year, term‑time inclusive of TD days)
Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 7.30 am to 4.00 pm
Salary: £29,064–£31,022 pro rata per annum (Actual Salary: £26,181–£27,945 per annum)
Start Date: 1st July 2026
Closing date: 12 noon, Friday 24th April 2026
Job Summary
We are looking to appoint a committed Nursery Room Leader to support the care and learning of 3‑ and 4‑year‑olds. You will work closely with the Nursery Teacher to plan engaging activities, lead a small team, create a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment, and build positive relationships with children, staff and parents. The successful candidate will promote children’s early development, encourage curiosity, independence and a love of learning through high‑quality provision and will contribute to the day‑to‑day organisation of the setting, supporting colleagues and maintaining high standards of care, learning and safeguarding at all times.
Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging developmental activities for 3‑ and 4‑year‑olds.
* Lead and supervise a small nursery team, ensuring a positive working environment.
* Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing setting for all children.
* Build and sustain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
* Support the day‑to‑day organisation of the nursery, including administration and resources.
* Uphold high standards of care, learning, and safeguarding at all times.
* Collaborate with the Nursery Teacher and other staff to provide high‑quality provision.
