About the RoleWe're looking for a reliable and detail-focused Cleaner / Housekeeping Assistant to join a busy school environment. You'll play a key role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety and hygiene across the site during term time, as well as supporting during holiday periods when the facilities are used for events and external lettings.Working as part of a supportive team, this is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys contributing to a well-run environment.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation across all areasFollow daily cleaning schedules and instructions from the Housekeeping SupervisorUse cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and correctlyEnsure all equipment is maintained and stored properly after useKeep cleaning cupboards and storage areas clean, tidy and secureReport any maintenance issues, damage or defects promptlySupport colleagues and provide cover where neededAttend training sessions and team meetings as requiredPresent yourself in a clean, professional manner at all timesAbout YouPrevious cleaning or housekeeping experience is desirableReliable, punctual and able to follow routines and instructionsTakes pride in delivering high standards of workGood understanding of health, safety and hygiene practicesFlexible approach and willing to support across different areas when neededComfortable working in a school environment alongside staff and pupilsPositive team player with a strong work ethicWhat's on OfferStable, long-term opportunity within a supportive teamStructured working environment with clear routinesTraining and development opportunitiesVaried role across term time and holiday periodsAdditional InformationThis role is based within a school setting, so a professional approach and awareness of working around children is essential.
