Overview
GBR Recruitment Ltd are recruiting for an Electrician's Mate on behalf of an M&E contracting business. The Electrician's Mate will primarily work alongside a fully qualified Electrician, assisting with tasks involved in electrical installations, modifications, maintenance, and repairs within a new retail store fit-out. The project is estimated to last 10-12 weeks (approx.) and is located in the Perth area of Scotland.
Responsibilities
* Provide support to Electricians during installations
* Run cables and wiring
* Install containment systems such as conduit, tray, and trunking
* Assist in basic testing of electrical systems and fault finding
* Assemble and disassemble electrical components
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations
* Keep the work area clean and organised
* Carry out general labouring type tasks as required
Experience & Qualifications
* Experience as an Electrician's Mate
* A valid CSCS card or an ECS Card
* CIS registration (self-employed / limited company / sole trader)
* Green CSCS Labourer Card
* Understanding of relevant safety standards and electrical safety regulations
* Fundamental understanding of electrical systems, wiring methods, and safety protocols
* Ability to identify electrical faults
* Level 2 2365 diploma is advantageous but not required
Location & Suitability
This role would suit someone living in Perth, Kinross, Dunfermline, Dundee, Glenrothes, Stirling, Cupar, Dunblane, Alloa, Kirkcaldy and other areas close to Perth. This position could suit someone working as an Electrical Improver, Electrical Labourer, Apprentice Electrician, Part Qualified Electrician or Assistant Electrician.
