Overview
We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Relief Chef to join our culinary team. This role supports kitchen operations across various locations, ensuring high-quality food preparation and service.
Responsibilities
* Prepare, cook, and present food to high standards, adhering to recipes and guidelines
* Maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment and ensure health and safety compliance
* Collaborate with existing kitchen teams to support daily operations and maintain smooth service
* Assist in managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans as needed
* Adapt quickly to different kitchen environments, menus, and cooking styles
* Support and supervise kitchen staff when required, fostering a positive and efficient work atmosphere
* Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining food quality and presentation standards
* Respond flexibly to changing work locations and schedules as per organisational needs
Requirements
* Proven experience
* Ideally a recent background with the corporate contract catering sector
* Excellent creative culinary skills
* Leadership and team management abilities
* Excellent communication and interpersonal relations skills
* Proficiency in food cost management
* Knowledge of food safety and health and safety regulations
* Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment
