Your new role
As a Void Maintenance Officer, you will take ownership of managing and protecting unoccupied homes across multiple estates within your assigned area. Working independently while supported by a Delivery Manager, you will ensure each empty property remains secure, compliant and in excellent condition throughout its void period.In this mobile role, you will:
1. Carry out detailed inspections when taking over or handing back a property
2. Produce clear photographic records and condition reports
3. Identify defects, complete rough scopes of works and flag improvement opportunities
4. Conduct regular security and safety checks, including risk assessments
5. Ensure the property remains weatherproof and compliant with statutory requirements
6. Maintain heating and water systems appropriately during void periods
