Overview
Warren Primary School is seeking to appoint a proactive Site Assistant to join the site team. This is a full-time, permanent role with 8 hours per week scheduled on Wednesdays 7:00am – 3:30pm (30 minute unpaid lunch). Salary is Band B, points 7–12, (£5,741.41 – £6,218.81 actual salary per annum).
Position type: Caretaker/Site Manager. Immediate start date offered; applications close 08/10/2025 (Midday). Interviews are scheduled for 16th October 2025.
Wishes to appoint a Site Assistant to provide comprehensive support including key holding, security and janitorial duties, and to assist in the general maintenance and cleaning of the school.
Hours: 8 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
Start date: November 2025.
Location: Warren Primary School, near Lakeside and Chafford Hundred train stations.

Responsibilities
* Provide keyholding and security support, including management of emergencies.
* Support lettings and after-school activities.
* Assist with maintenance and cleaning of the school and its external areas.
* Carry out minor repairs and drainage upkeep; monitor heating systems.
* Liaise with contractors and central functions; handle deliveries and respond to staff and public enquiries.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications and Attributes
* Practical with good DIY skills.
* Hands-on, able to develop and implement systems and procedures.
* Ability to contribute to projects and maintenance schedules.
* Self-motivated, able to work on own initiative.
* Flexible regarding working hours to meet the needs of the school.
* Effective communication with contractors and colleagues.
