The post is for a fixed-term 12-month cover.
T7 South is a 17-bedded Women’s Health Ward caring for acute and elective surgical patients. We are dedicated to delivering specialist care to breast and gynaecology patients as part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team. We are looking for a passionate, forward-thinking, and inspirational leader with exceptional clinical skills to lead and manage our dedicated nursing team.

Key Responsibilities
* Line management of a team of nurses
* Demonstrate excellent leadership skills, providing support and direction to the nursing team
* Coordinate ward activities to ensure the smooth running of the ward
* Ensure safe, kind, and compassionate care for patients
* Maintain safe staffing levels
* Handle patient queries and liaise with medical teams, escalating issues as appropriate
* Communicate effectively with colleagues, patients, and carers
* Be open to departmental changes and learning new skills
* Foster teamwork, flexibility, and good working relationships
* Collaborate to improve care pathways
* Ensure education and competency development of the nursing team
