Job Description
St Martins Care are recruiting for a Senior Care Assistant to work at our busy Residential Care Home. We are looking for an experienced care professional with an understanding of medication management and CQC compliance. Location
Park View Care Home, Feetham Avenue, Forest Hall. The service premises – you may be required to work from other locations at the discretion of the company with appropriate notice.
Job Overview
Senior Care Assistants will ensure residents are at the heart of care delivery, supervise staff, promote and protect the welfare of those supported, develop effective working relationships within the service, cooperate with multidisciplinary teams, and maintain relationships with residents' loved ones. They will seek personal and professional growth, act as a role model, and embrace learning opportunities.
Role-specific Duties
* Ensure residents are at the heart of care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing.
* Supervise staff and ensure that all staff contribute to the efficient running of the service.
* Promote and protect the welfare of individuals supported by the service.

* Develop effective working relationships with colleagues within the service.
* Work in cooperation with members of multidisciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for residents.
* Maintain and develop relationships with residents’ loved ones.

Qualifications
* Vocational qualification Level 3 Health and Social Care.
* Level 3 Medication Management.
* Good English (written and verbal).
Skills
* Maintain care plans and records in accordance with the service’s policy.
* Use communication skills to build rapport with residents and inform colleagues, management, and professionals about their needs.
* Problem‑solving skills to adapt to and address situations quickly, develop solutions, and recognise/report situations requiring protection.
* Assist residents with daily tasks following their care plan.
* Supervise staff while residents carry out daily tasks.
* Dispense medication following the service’s policies and procedures.
Previous Experience
* Previous experience of working in a similar environment.
