Join to apply for the Stop Smoking Advisor role at Change Grow Live. Working within the Be Smoke Free Manchester service, you will be a vital part of the team as a Specialist Stop Smoking Advisor. You will provide a high-quality stop smoking service across Manchester, delivered through a range of interventions from brief advice and information to structured programmes with the aim of helping people quit tobacco and live a healthier life. Interventions will be delivered face to face in the community and/or remotely, on an individual or group basis, and will include motivational interviewing techniques and the dispensing of Nicotine Replacement Therapies. You would report directly to a Tobacco Addiction Specialist Nurse and work alongside them and the community engagement team to build relationships in the local community and provide a service that is non-judgemental, supportive and client-led to deliver these interventions to smokers in order for them to progress on their quit journey towards a healthier, happier life.

Hours: Full time, 37.5h per week
Full time Salary*: £25,077.00 - £26,502.53
Note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
Responsibilities
* Carry out assessments and deliver interventions matched to identified needs, including behavioural support and the use of motivational interviewing techniques.
* Provide dispensing of Nicotine Replacement Products as part of the stop smoking service.
* Demonstrate excellent engagement skills and a commitment to high quality service provision with active involvement of service users.
* Collaborate with the Tobacco Addiction Specialist Nurse and the community engagement team to build relationships in the local community.
Qualifications and Skills
* Understanding of human behaviour in relation to smoking.
* Ability to carry out assessments and tailor interventions to identified needs.
* Experience with motivational interviewing techniques and nicotine replacement therapy delivery.
