Main Duties of the Job
Please attend our Newly Qualified Nurse careers event in person on 11 March 2026 from 14:00–17:30 in Benjamin Gooch Theatre, NNUH. Preceptorship and Beyond
Our Practice Development and Education team will support you during your 12‑month preceptorship and beyond. You will be assigned a trained preceptor/mentor who will work with you throughout this period. A two‑week supernumerary induction programme will take place in February/March 2026 (date to be confirmed). This induction provides the opportunity to meet Clinical Educators, learn the hospital and NNUH team, attend workshops to facilitate your clinical skills, and engage with your department. Additional learning opportunities include a transitional learning needs analysis, four bespoke CPD sessions within the Preceptorship Academy, and access to the clinical skills programme with a bespoke IV drug administration day for newly qualified nurses.
Person Specification
Qualifications (Essential)
Completion of Pre‑Registration training to diploma or degree level (final award to be confirmed).
Experience (Essential)
Recent experience of nursing in an acute hospital environment.
Desirable Criteria
Knowledge or experience of relevant speciality.
