The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Paediatric Therapies teams. The post holder will be working across the Fylde Coast within the Paediatric Admin Therapy Teams. It is important the post holder is able to work flexibly, using their own initiative and organisational skills to complete tasks.
Responsibilities
* The post holder will provide and maintain a high quality secretarial, administration and information service to the Paediatric Therapy teams, acting as a central reference point to all staff within the service including clinicians/managerial staff, Trust stakeholders and clients.
* The role comprises a wide range of specific duties and requires competence in keyboard skills, communication and organisational skills. An ability to understand the need for and to maintain confidentiality is essential.
* An essential part of the role is the ability to manage and prioritise own workload without direct supervision.
* Flexibility to work across the Fylde Coast within the Paediatric Therapy Teams and to adapt to changing tasks as required.
Qualifications and Skills
* Competence in keyboard skills, communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to understand the need for and to maintain confidentiality.
* Ability to manage and prioritise own workload without direct supervision.
Working arrangements and location
Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is situated on the west coast of Lancashire, with services covering the local authority areas of Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre. The Trust is part of the Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care System (ICS) supporting a population of around 1.6 million people. The Trust provides services to the 440,000 residents of Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre and North Lancashire, as well as specialist tertiary care for Cardiac and Haematology patients. The role is based across the Fylde Coast and near Blackpool.
DBS checks and recruitment information
If the role you have applied for requires a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check we will administer this as part of your pre-employment checks. You may repay the cost on appointment via salary deduction (1-3 months or as a one-off payment on commencement). The level of check depends on the role offered. Current charges are - Basic £25.50, Standard £25.50, Enhanced £53.50.
You are encouraged, where possible, to register for the DBS update service (annual fee £16). This may avoid repeated disclosures.
