Make an Impact at RSM UK The Consulting technical team is looking for an Assistant Manager or experienced Supervisor. The role will support a range of Consulting‑wide projects. It will focus on Internal Audit Standards, External Quality Assessment (EQA), and insight‑led quality improvement across our Risk and Governance Solution. This role suits someone who enjoys applying professional standards in practice, producing high‑quality technical work, and influencing through expertise. The work is varied, so you’ll need to manage multiple priorities, stay curious, challenge constructively, and support others through change. You’ll make an impact by: Through periodic assessment, map alignment with Global Internal Audit Standards, working closely with the Technical Associate Director and senior stakeholders. Develop, maintain, and enhance internal audit methodologies, templates, and technical guidance. Ensuring alignment with global standards and internal policies. Analyse data to produce insight‑led technical outputs, including specialist papers, diagnostics, and sector benchmarking. Own and manage the technical publications plan, coordinating inputs, technical review, and delivery to agreed timelines in client‑ready formats. Identify and monitor key publications and emerging issues, coordinating content for internal communications. Produce sector news briefings and thought‑leadership content, from research through to publication, supporting informed client conversations and risk‑led decision‑making. Provide technical assurance over digital audit products and tools, ensuring alignment with methodology and professional standards as platforms evolve. Act as a point of technical support for service queries, responding within agreed service levels and supporting consistent, high‑quality delivery across teams. Contribute to wider Consulting technical projects, providing insight and targeted support to priority initiatives What we are looking for: We are looking for someone with strong technical depth and sound professional judgement, who is comfortable operating as a specialist within a national team. The role suits a dynamic individual who enjoys variety, is curious, and motivated by continuous learning. You will enjoy building connections and working collaboratively across the firm. As part of a national team, you can be based in your current location, though some travel will be required to work with colleagues in other regions. We are looking for someone with the following skills and experience: CIA, ACA / CA qualification (or part‑qualified), or equivalent professional background. Strong internal audit experience, with practical application of internal audit standards and methodology. Solid knowledge of governance, risk management, and internal control. Excellent analytical and drafting skills, with the ability to translate complex technical issues into clear, practical outputs. Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver high‑quality outputs to agreed deadlines. A self‑directed, proactive approach, with confidence to operate independently. Curious and questioning mindset with ability to see through issues to the best possible resolution. An interest in quality, standards, methodology, and continuous improvement.
