Your future challenge
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pressure Systems Engineer. Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will run and develop the area within budget frames, policies and overall objectives of the Mill.
The successful candidate will:
1. Be a specialist in discipline or possess relevant experience
2. Develop/review the technical content of engineering standards for discipline
3. Work with technical aspects of Criticality Analysis, Failure Analysis and Maintenance Strategy
4. Identify investments and major repairs based on CA, FA and MS
5. Support spare part requirements and manage obsolescence
6. Participate in root cause analysis problem-solving
7. Participate in downtime incidents and actions
8. Promote engineering workflows
9. Support work task templates for the quality of work planning and execution
10. Asset technical characteristics data gathering.
11. Support contractor control including inductions and competence audits
To apply for this role, you should:
12. Be educated to HNC level (or equivalent in a technical discipline) preferred
13. Have a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship
14. Possess an excellent knowledge and competence in maintenance engineering
15. Have an understanding of failure analysis and maintenance strategy
16. Have a good knowledge of plant processes and equipment
17. Be computer literate with working knowledge of ‘Windows Office’ suite
18. Have a good knowledge of plant management systems
19. Be self-motivated, work on your own initiative
