Ibis Coleraine - Riverside - Maintenance Supervisor
Location: 3 Riverside Retal Park N
Hours: 32 hours
Responsibilities
* Schedule and allocate work assignments, ensuring work orders in Quore are completed efficiently and effectively.
* Lead regular team meetings with the GM and Estate Manager to discuss updates, issues, and improvements.
* Maintenance and Repairs: oversee and participate in the maintenance and repair of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, and structural components; respond to maintenance requests and guest complaints in a timely manner.
* Preventive Maintenance: ensure the scheduled preventive maintenance program is completed in Quore and that follow-up actions from PPM inspections are completed timely.
* Record-keeping: maintain and present accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs to Senior Management.
* Safety and Compliance: ensure compliance with local regulations and hotel policies; conduct regular safety inspections and drills; address safety hazards promptly.
* Green Initiatives: engage in sustainability activities and input data into Brand Platforms as required.
* Inventory and Budget Management: monitor and manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment; prepare and manage the maintenance department budget; source and negotiate with suppliers.
* Collaboration: coordinate with other departments to minimise disruption during maintenance and communicate project updates to the General Manager and Estate Department.
* Foster a positive team environment and promote teamwork within the maintenance department.
Qualifications
* 2 years of experience in maintenance in a hotel or similar setting
* Experience in carrying out complex maintenance tasks
* Ability to work weekends and bank holidays
* Understanding of local regulations, standards, and ordinances on hotel operations and maintenance
* Strong knowledge of building services and health and safety standards
* High attention to detail and quick decision-making skills
* Excellent communication and organisational skills; is a team player with leadership abilities
Desirable Criteria
* Experience as Maintenance Supervisor or Assistant Manager in a hotel or customer-facing environment
