No day will be the same - here are some of the highlights

We have an opportunity for a talented, creative, and culturally-savvy Social Media & Communities Manager to join our Marketing team at a truly exciting time. With ambitious expansion planned for 2026 and beyond, you’ll play a key role in shaping how we show up across social platforms and how we build meaningful connections with our audiences as we grow.

Reporting to the Head of Brand & Communications, you’ll lead our organic social media strategy, influencer approach and community engagement — creating high-performing content, building trust, and growing our communities across our full range of services, including energy supply, solar, EV charging, battery storage, installation, and maintenance for both commercial and domestic customers.

Energy is an exciting but complex industry, and we are looking for someone who is able to cut through the acronyms and develop relationships with our audiences, showing clearly the valuable of renewable energy and being part of the growing Good Energy community.

You’ll be responsible for developing and delivering social media plans aligned with business goals, creating platform-first content and strategies, as well as ensuring Good Energy’s social presence reflects our values and voice. You’ll also play a central role in managing and nurturing our communities, helping customers and audiences feel heard, supported, and inspired to take to action to make more sustainable energy choices.

Responsibilities:
* Social strategy & planning: Own and deliver an organic social media strategy and channel content calendars aligned with business priorities, marketing plans, and growth goals.
* Content creation & delivery: Create high-quality, engaging social content and copy across multiple formats in collaboration with in-house design teams to support campaign objectives.
* Community management & engagement: Nurture online communities through active engagement and sentiment monitoring, working closely with Customer Service to manage interactions and escalate issues.
* Campaign & cross-team collaboration: Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, PR, and Product teams to ensure social activity for key campaigns and launches is delivered to a high standard.
* Insights & optimisation: Track performance data and platform trends to provide insights that continually improve content relevance, engagement, and community growth.
* Brand guardian: Ensure all social activity is consistent, inclusive, and aligned with brand values, ensuring all communications and marketing claims are accurate and substantiated

What you'll need to succeed

We’re looking for a creative and people-first Social & Communities Manager to join our team. You’ll be confident owning social channels end-to-end while also building strong, engaged communities that support Good Energy’s mission and growth.
You’ll be comfortable working at pace, managing multiple priorities, and collaborating with stakeholders across the business. Excellent writing skills, a strong understanding of social platforms, and a genuine passion for community building are essential.

Essential:
* Proven experience managing organic social media channels and community engagement for a brand
* Strong copywriting skills, with the ability to create clear, compelling messaging across platforms.
* Ability to create or coordinate social content across formats (including short-form video and platform-native content)
* Confident working cross-functionally and managing multiple stakeholders to deliver high-quality work on time
* Strong understanding of social performance reporting, analytics and optimisation.
* A passionate and driven individual, comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Meticulous attention to detail, with a commitment to producing work that exceeds expectations in both quality and impact
