Robert Half Technology are assisting a market-leading real estate business to recruit a Senior Data Engineer on a 6-month contract basis. Outside IR35. Hybrid working - 2 days per week on-site initially. London based.
Role
1. The Senior Data Engineer will assess, design, and implement data infrastructure to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance.
2. Review existing architecture, recommend improvements, and implement hands-on solutions.
3. Collaborate with junior data engineers to provide guidance, create roadmaps, and support data strategy.
4. Collect, transform, and process datasets from multiple sources, including current CRM, legacy CRM, and data from acquisitions.
5. Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across all platforms.
6. Develop efficient data pipelines using SQL Server, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and DBT Cloud.
7. Support analytics and reporting workflows, feeding data into Snowflake and Power BI.
8. Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering.
Profile
9. 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering.
10. Expertise in:
Snowflake
Azure Data Factory (ADF)
DBT Cloud
SQL / ETL transformations
Power BI
11. Comfortable working with legacy systems and multiple, complex data sources.
12. Proven ability to review and improve existing architectures.
13. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with meticulous attention to data quality.
14. Collaborative mindset with the ability to guide junior team members and create practical solutions.
