Offer description

Are you an organised and proactive administrator with a passion for supporting academic excellence? We are looking for a dedicated Faculty Administrator to join our team within the Faculty of Education, Arts, Science and Technology. In this post, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to academic teams, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of faculty activities. A key focus of the post is supporting work aligned with Professional, Statutory and Regulatory Bodies (PSRBs) and Ofsted requirements, making your contribution essential to maintaining the Faculty's high standards and regulatory compliance. You'll work closely with academic leads, professional services, and external stakeholders to coordinate documentation, prepare for inspections and audits, and support programme reviews and validations. Your professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities will help ensure our programmes continue to meet the highest standards. If you thrive in a collaborative environment and are committed to delivering excellent service, we'd love to hear from you. The postholder will be expected to work occasional weekends to support interviews.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Creating an Inclusive Environment: Adopting a zero-tolerance approach to discrimination and ensuring all activities are inclusive.
2. Supporting Students and Staff: Strengthening mental health support, enhancing disability confidence, and ensuring academic and professional support.
3. Tackling Inequalities: Involving students in recruitment, integrating forums for equality data analysis, and supporting networks for protected characteristics.

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive individual with proven experience in providing high-level administrative and secretarial support, ideally within an educational environment. The successful candidate will have an understanding of university systems and processes, along with excellent organisational skills and a track record of supporting events and meetings. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word, is essential, as is the ability to manage digital records and documentation effectively. You will be confident in responding to enquiries, resolving issues independently, and managing competing priorities while maintaining professionalism under pressure. Interpersonal and communication skills are vital, as is the ability to work collaboratively across teams and liaise with a wide range of stakeholders. Adaptability, discretion, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service are key qualities for this post.

Essential qualifications:

* 5 GCSE (or equivalent) passes to include English and Mathematics

Desirable qualifications:

* A-levels or equivalent
* Hold a relevant professional level qualification in either administration, finance, HR or marketing
