Your Role
* Producing and checking engineering deliverables, developing solutions including design calculations, reports, presentations, and drawings for underground structures such as tunnels and shafts.
* Collaborating with a diverse team of engineers, scientists, and modelers from conceptual to detailed design and construction.
* Conducting engineering analysis using models based on first principles or codified processes.
* Supporting innovative engineering solutions through research and development.
* Assisting project managers in delivering projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
* Occasional travel and site work within the UK and overseas, depending on business and client needs.
* Participating in business development activities, including preparing technical proposals.
* Mentoring and coaching junior team members.
* Supporting project goals collaboratively with intermediate and senior staff.
* Promoting a safety-first attitude aligned with health and safety culture.
Reporting to the Mining Business structure, the role focuses on project delivery, technical expertise, business development, client relationships, and team mentoring. The primary sector is mining, with potential involvement in other sectors like infrastructure. Responsibilities include designing underground structures for mining, civils, utilities, and transport projects.
What We Seek
* Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
* Post-graduation engineering experience.
* Understanding of structural principles and construction materials.
* Proficiency with engineering drawings and design codes.
* Decision-making ability, initiative, and innovative problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and in teams.
* Excellent time management and organizational skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
