The ideal candidate has a strong technical grounding and is a structured thinker, dependable operator and strong communicator who thrives at the intersection of data, strategy, and storytelling. You will play a key role in shaping business decisions by performing market research, developing financial and operational models, and communicating insights internally and externally through clear and compelling presentations. Responsibilities Structure and solve business problems : Break down complex challenges into actionable components and develop clear, data-driven solutions. Strategic c ommunication: Translate complex ideas into concise, visually engaging slides and reports for internal and external stakeholders, plus well-positioned materials for attracting partners and customers (written reports; website content; conference preparations and other marketing materials). This includes design and maintenance of company decks. Market r esearch & a nalysis: Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses of markets, competitors, and trends to inform strategic decision-making. Project e valuation: C ritically assess ongoing and proposed projects using a technical understanding of biomolecules /therapeutics, Excel-based financial models, ROI analyses, and impact assessments. This includes understanding, managing and presenting data from our internal BD pipelines and contributing to project forecasting, pricing justification and benchmarking and approval workflows. Business c ase d evelopment: Build comprehensive business cases that include financial forecasts, sensitivity analyses, and implementation plans. This will include designing and maintain Excel models to evaluate business scenarios, project performance, and funding opportunities. Grant writing and funding support : Research, write, and coordinate grant applications that align with organizational goals and funding priorities. Cross-functional c ollaboration: Partner with teams across strategy, operations, finance, and external partners to support business growth and innovation. Qualifications Required: D egree in Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Business or a related field. Technical understanding in synthetic biology, genomics or platform biotech. Experience in consulting, strategy, business analysis, BD/revenue operations or a related analytical role, with a strong focus on life sciences. Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint (or similar presentation tools). Experience with CRM analytics and COGS/margin scenario modelling is a plus. Proven experience in market research and quantitative analysis. Experience of deal mechanics and/or grant writing is a plus. Exceptional ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively in writing and visuals. Detail-oriented, deadline- driven and comfortable balancing structure with start-up pace.
